## La Cornue models, by number: what goes wrong on each.

Find your number below, or read where to find it on the unit. Each page says what that machine is, what tends to go wrong with it, and what the work costs here.

47 — models people ask about by number

3 — counties covered end to end

OEM — parts available on order

from $95 — diagnostic, credited to the repair

## The numbers people ask us about

Each page lists what owners of that model actually search for, what the machine is, and where those symptoms usually lead.

No model pages published yet. Call [(305) 614-3699](tel:+13056143699) with the number from the data plate.

## Where the model number is on your unit

It depends on which of the five it is, and on this make it is always inside the appliance rather than on the outside of it. On a range, open the left oven door and look along the inside of the frame; if it is not there, take the plinth off at the bottom. On a rangetop, lift a burner grate and look at the deck beneath it. On a wall oven it is on the door frame. On a hood, drop a baffle filter out and look up into the canopy; on a hood insert the plate is on the liner body, so the filters come out first.

Take a photograph rather than writing it down. The full number includes the letters after the digits — those decide which parts fit, and they are the part people misread most often.

## Or start from the symptom

If you do not have the number to hand, start from what the unit is doing. Every symptom page says what to check first and when it stops being a five-minute job.

## This is a list of what people ask about, not of what we repair.

47 numbers have pages here because those are the ones people search for by number. We work on the rest of the range as well — the pages simply follow demand rather than the catalog.

Tell us the number from the data plate and what the unit is doing, and we will tell you what the machine is, what the symptom usually points at, and what the work involves. **Call [(305) 614-3699](tel:+13056143699)**, or send a photograph of the plate through the form above.

## Questions about models and parts

Is a twenty-year-old unit still worth repairing? — Usually, yes. These were built to be repaired, and a legacy cabinet in good condition with sound cabinetry is worth keeping. Where it stops being worth it is when the work approaches what the unit is worth, or when a second major failure is already visible — and we will say so on the visit rather than after.

Can you still get parts for the older units? — For most of what fails, yes — OEM parts are available on order, though legacy parts can take a few days to source. That is why we confirm a part is the problem before ordering it rather than after.

Why do you not list the specifications for each model? — Because we cannot verify them. Capacity, dimensions and production years published second-hand are wrong often enough that a table of them would be a liability, and inventing one would break our own rule about publishing only what we can stand behind. What we do publish is what the number means for the repair.

The number on my unit has letters after it. Does that matter? — Yes, for parts. The digits identify the family; the letters identify the configuration, and two units sharing the same digits can take different components. Photograph the whole plate and we will read it from there.

Do you work on the current range as well? — Yes, the whole current range. These pages exist because a number is what people search by; everything else this maker sells is covered on the appliance pages.

## What a La Cornue model number actually tells you

### The letter names the appliance, the number is the width

A La Cornue model code is short and it says two things. The letter is the appliance: G is a

Château range, T is the matching rangetop, F is a Tourelle wall oven, H is a hood, and C9 and C1 are

the CornuFé 90 and 110 — with an *-I* suffix on a CornuFé meaning induction rather than dual

fuel. The number is the width in centimeters, halved and rounded the way the factory does it: 48 is

the 1800 mm Grand Palais 180, 45 the 1500 mm Château 150, 43 the Châtelet 135, 40 the Castel 60. So

G45 and T45 are the same 150 in its two forms, and the letter between them decides whether there are

ovens underneath.

### The configuration code matters more than the model code

This is the part that has no equivalent on any other make in this fleet. Every Château is

assembled from cooktop modules chosen at order time, and the configuration code is what records the

choice: N1 to N9 on a 180, L1 to L9 on a 165, K1 to K6 on a 150, E0 to E5 on a 120, C1 to C5 on a 90,

B1 to B3 on a 75, and AA on the all-induction Castel 60. It says whether the top carries two gas

burners and a plaque coup de feu, a lava-rock grill, induction zones or a teppanyaki plate. Two

ranges with the same model number can therefore need completely different parts for the same

complaint, which is why a booking that carries the configuration gets the right parts on the first

visit.

### Two of the maker’s own names for one range

The January 2026 price list calls G40, G47 and G49 the Castel 60, Castel 75 and Grand Castel 90 in

its index and its price lines — and the Château 60, Château 75 and Château 90 in its own

specification headings on the same pages. Neither name is wrong and neither is complete, so both are

published here. If your dealer said Castel and your paperwork says Château, they are the same

range.

### Why this list is the current price book and nothing else

Every code on these pages is in La Cornue’s own January 2026 Prices and Specifications guide, its

CornuFé guide, or a per-model specification sheet, and every dimension and weight is read off those

documents. What is deliberately absent is permutation. It is tempting on this make to multiply size

by fuel by finish by configuration and publish a hundred pages — “Château 90 Dual-Fuel Polished

Brass French Top” — and an earlier network did exactly that, with ninety-nine model pages for a line

this size. Those are one range in different clothes. The configurations belong on the range’s own

page instead, which is where you will find them. If your code is not here, that says nothing about

whether we repair the appliance: send the code off the plate and what it is doing.

## Send the plate, and what it is doing.

A photograph of the data plate and a line about the symptom is enough for us to say what is likely and what it should cost.
